Creating a token

If you connect an AI coding tool through the Subframe MCP server, authentication creates a token for you. To create one yourself, go to app.subframe.com/cli/auth ↗ or:
  1. Click Auth in the sidebar on the Projects page
  2. Click New token
  3. Copy the Auth token from the dialog
The dialog also shows the Project ID to use with the CLI. If you have more than one project, select the project first. Tokens are shown once. Store them somewhere secure.
Any team member can create a token. Viewers get read-only CLI access—they can sync components but cannot push changes back to Subframe.

Deleting a token

  1. Click Auth in the sidebar
  2. Click … beside the token
  3. Select Delete…
  4. Confirm the deletion
